I love my new phone! Mostly because it keeps me away from my laptop. Which means I'm away from Facebook games. Which means I get more done. I of course have a couple of games on my phone, but I'm just not drawn to them, and they aren't constantly reminding me to tend to them. LOL! I have Remember the Milk on my phone which is where I put my daily to-do list. Since it's on my phone I check things off while still standing up. I'm not tempted to sit, and just take a peak and what is going on in Facebook land. I got half of an assignment done this morning. I say half because I need to run out and get a couple of missing things for my doula bag and take some pictures. Then it will be done!
I submitted two that I was just sitting on last week. They are graded already. Demetria at Birth Arts International is always on top of it! I'm so glad I went with her program. I never feel like I don't have someone to answer my questions, and a lot more is included in our training than in some of the others. I'm sure they are all great programs, but BAI was definitely a right fit for me.

Weekend fun!
We ended up spending the weekend in a Hotel this weekend. So much exhausting fun! We swam almost all day on Friday. The kids were quiet during dinner, and Cyan ate like I've never seen. It was a salt water pool, and I must say I liked it much better than the usual chlorine pool. I can swim in it without my eyes swelling shut right away.
Saturday morning we got up at the crack of dawn, and headed over the baby expo. I made up a hundred chap sticks with my logo on them, and they are gone! Hopefully, I get a client or two from that. I wish I had taken a picture of the finished product, but I do have one from the half way point.
Then we headed over to the new Parkview Hospital, and took a tour. It's pretty cutting edge. My dear husband spent the entire time inspecting the workstations that he has been working on getting online. I guess red stickers mean they are ready to go, and the boxes of computers that are still showing up, and have no desks...well that is way construction goes. We did a little driving after that, and then dinner, a little more swimming, ice cream, and then sleep!
Sunday mostly involved driving around and looking for rentals. Near the end we decided to head into the Verizon store since we had already decided to get new phones. We ended up walking out with two pretty new Androids, and a service plan. I have a phone now that gets txts the same day they were sent! I can also video chat with it, which means I will be able to talk to clients while they are in labor and asses how they are doing before I even get to them from where ever I am. That is a big plus!

The week of flu
My poor girl! Last week on Wednesday evening my daughter began what turned out to be two and half days of off again on again vomiting. That was it though. No fever or anything else. Kinda crazy, but I guess it could have been worse. I am still working on cleaning up the aftermath though. I think I have all everything laundered, but I could get off the couch since she was parked in my lap most of that time I have a pretty decent amount of other cleaning to do. From 3pm to 5pm today it is supposed to be in the forties. With the flu going through my house last week you can bet I'll have the back door open to let in some fresh air.
House hunting has been interesting. We looked at a house last week that we loved! It was for sale though. We are currently starting to look at getting a USDA loan, but that house doesn't qualify because of the barns on it. There is an offer on it anyway. We are just so sick of looking at rentals that stink! The good ones seem to get scooped before we can even look at them. It's such a frustrating process. We are also considering moving into the cheap little house we found, and then going from there while we are down there. I have a business to get moving after all.
